the organic cotton also avoids the small producers to get into debt by allowing them to make they same their intrants instead of buying them

· profits for the environment

the earth is more easily renewed

it is not exhausted by the intensive farming bound to pesticides or to genetically modified organisms

the not use of gmo seeds protects the biodiversity of the traditional seeds of the cotton

4 good reasons for preferring the organic cotton to the traditional cotton

· the culture of the conventional cotton is the most polluting in the world:
24 % of pesticides used for 2,4 % of surfaces cultivated in the world while the agricultural surface did not evolve since 1930 the returns were multiplied by 30. The organic farming does not use synthetic products but only natural pesticides

· the culture of the conventional cotton is extremely harmful for the health:
in the regions of intensive farming of the cotton, we observe more and more deformations to the new-born and an increase of the rate of cancers (cbg source) according to the oms, they are the reason of 220 000 deaths and 25 million cases of poisoning a year in the only third world countries.
by using natural pesticides, the organic farming answers directly the risks for the health caused by conventional cotton

the organic cotton treatments by the small producers represents no danger for the employees and for the surrounding populations

· it is extremely harmful for the environment:
the wild fauna not targeted in theory (bees, birds) is directly affected by insecticides, whereas the aimed insects develop mechanisms of consumer resistance of water: we consider that are needed from 7 000 to 29 000 liters of water to produce one kilo of cotton (source(spring) study wwf- on 1999). it is responsible in particular for the drying out of the sea of arral. the use of natural pesticides protects the biodiversity of the regions in which the cotton
